Olympic games

  • The Ancient Olympic Games were religious and athletic festivals held every four years at the sanctuary of Zeus in Olympia, Greece. 
  • Competition was among representatives of several city-states and kingdoms of Ancient, Greece. 
  • First Olympic games held in April 6, 1986 in Athens, Greece.
  • Now, Olympic currently held in Tokyo, Japan.
  • There are 206 countries competing in Tokyo with over 11,000 athletes.

 Fencing 

  • there are three type of fencing which is epee, foil and sabre.
  • this sport is quite expensive on a competitive level 
  • but for the beginner start out is quite low
  • scoring is done differently in the three variants of fencing
  • Sun Yi Wen (China-gold medal for women's Epee individual)


Handball

  • two team compete with 6 court player and 1 goalkeeper each team
  • it is similar with football where the aim of this game is to shot a goal into the opponent's goal but this game is using HAND
  • players can hold the ball maximum of three second and can take up to three steps while holding the ball
  • ROC team (silver for women match)

Golf 

  • players use various clubs (hit trick) to hit balls into a series of holes on a course is as few strokes as possible
  • the game at the usual level is played on a course with an arranged progression of 18 holes

Athletics (pole vault)

  • athlete jumps over an obstacle with the aid of a pole
  • each vaulter is given three chances to clear a specified height
  • the pole is originally made by bamboos, but through out the year it became more unique, made by glass fiber
  • Armand Duplantis (Sweden-gold medal)


Artistic swimming (synchronized swimming)

  • it is a hybrid form of swimming, dance and gymnastic that elaborate moves in water
  • there are solo, duo, trio, mixed duet, free combination, free team and highlight
  • competitors show off their strength, flexibility, aerobic and synchronization
  • ROC free team (gold medal)
